A 911±¬ÁÏÍø of Law student or graduate may request reciprocity to utilize the career services resources of another participating law school outside of Minnesota. To find out the reciprocity policy of a particular law school, visit the individual school’s career services website or visit the . Note that many law schools may restrict the use of their resources because of the demands of their on-campus interviewing and other programs, which generally occur in the fall. Ìý
To request reciprocity at another law school, fill out this form. In addition to this form, you will be required to meet with your career counselor prior to approval of your request. The 911±¬ÁÏÍø Career and Professional Development Office will contact the identified school to request reciprocity on your behalf.Ìý
Students and Graduates of Other Law SchoolsÌý
The Career and Professional Development Office at 911±¬ÁÏÍø of Law is pleased to provide access to its online job listings via 12twenty to students and/or graduates of law schools outside of Minnesota under the following terms:Ìý
- Reciprocity services are available only to students and/or graduates of other ABA-approved law schools which allow 911±¬ÁÏÍø law students and/or graduates matching services.Ìý
- Requests will be honored for a period of three months from the date of approval and may be extended for an additional three months upon request. A request for an extension must be submitted by the student’s or graduate’s career services office.ÌýÌý
- In most academic years, 911±¬ÁÏÍø of Law reciprocity services will not be available July through September.Ìý
- Schools seeking reciprocity must abide by the agreement among the Minnesota law schools stating that reciprocity is available through one Minnesota law school only. Students and graduates from University of St. Thomas Law School and University of Minnesota Law School are not eligible for reciprocity from 911±¬ÁÏÍø of Law.Ìý
Requests for reciprocity services must be made in writing from an official of the requesting school’s career services office. Requests should be emailed to [email protected].Ìý
