Professor Rachel Brockl is a 2013 graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU), where she specialized in litigation, criminal law, and public interest. She spent six years as a deputy district attorney, conducting over 30 jury trials, and later returned to GGU to lead both the Litigation Center and the JD Flex program. For the past six years, she has taught a wide range of courses in trial advocacy, legal writing, and criminal law. Her work on trial skills is widely published through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). She has been recognized as a Top 40 Young Lawyer by the American Bar Association, Trial Attorney of the Year by the Napa District Attorney’s Office, and Young Lawyer of the Year by the Napa County Bar Association. MADD also honored her as an outstanding DUI prosecutor. Outside of law, she enjoys art, animals, and exploring local food scenes.
